Village house II
Village House II Casa Prieto II is a stone building, restored in 2005, with a large wooden gallery. The house entrance is below the gallery, and is reached by crossing the enclosed terrace with benches and table for residents’ use. The surroundings of the house include the peak of Peña Rueda and Lindes Wood.
The house is of two stories, and the inside is decorated beautifully with stucco walls of bright colours and harmonious contrasts. The high quality furniture and the functional and decorative objects – such as the old sewing machine in the entrance makes the house both rustic yet very comfortable.
Downstairs there is the kitchen, the dining room, sitting room and a bathroom. The dining room has a large table with a rustic wooden bench around it.
-The sittingroom contains the open fire, television, and bookcases with books and guides to the area. It also has a sofa bed suitable for two (1.35m wide - optional).
Upstairs is reached by a wooden staircase with bannister, and has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. Both rooms have ensuite bathrooms, one with a shower panel, and both are fully equipped with sheets, blankets, eiderdowns, towels etc.
The house has central heating and hot water, a washing machine, clothes line, iron, brooms and mops etc.
It is possible to park near the house.
Tenants have use of the tables, benches and barbecue.
The capital of Quirós, Bárzena, is 11 kilometres from the village, where small shops will meet all your needs. If you do not wish to cook, the Melchor restaurant is just one hundred metres away, and you may eat there, or order food made from local produce to take home with you.
Casa Prieto II is a self-contained house, with two triskeles, available for renting all year round.
